I agree. Obviously people aren't concerned with such trivial matters of money.
I hope the schools continue to exercise frugality over the next few years and don't see this money as a windfall to line the "administrators" pockets. Give the teachers their raises, make repairs and put the rest away for necessities. -

ReplySue: I had no problem affording my house when I bought it years back. Since then, people like you who seem to think I can afford to pay for everyone else keeps dipping into my funds.
I'm not getting government services for free. I currently pay city taxes, property taxes, sales tax, state tax and federal taxes to name a few. And, unlike so many others, I've received no handouts for my living expenses.
For the record, my complaint is the school does not need 8.9 mi. This is GREED. And I never said the teachers don't deserve raises.
You, Sue, don't deserve any more of my time because you just don't get reality. I bet you signed off on all those tax abatements? -

IT WILL AFFECT RENTERS. THE LANDLORDS WILL RAISE THEIR RENT TO PAY FOR THE INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES. -

ReplyMichael: My funding has decreased also. Five years - no raises. Utilities and everything else gone up. Don't have a tree to pick this money from. I wonder how many of you people defending this levy went to council and city management when they handed out all the tax abatements to businesses and said no - we need the tax money for our schools...... So, now the burden is on the already burdened residents.

READ MY LIPS: I can't afford more taxes. Five years - no raise. Five year - utilities, groceries, and everything else went up.
The schools have already been rated excellent without this tax. How much better do they need to get? -

ReplyA realtor works neither for the seller nor the buyer. A realtor works for "commission". It is their bread and butter on the table. Just as you and I work for a living they do too. They just chose a different field.
And an agent cannot do justice working as a dual agent to the seller or the buyer. The only thing different if they act as dual is they get to collect more commission. They collect the commission as the selling agent and the buyer's agent. Mo money honey! -

If the money isn't there a person can't pay it.
It's called bankruptcy and foreclosure. Because of the GREED of administrators. You can't pretend all you want Sue, but the money they are asking for is excessive.

I learned a lot from this article. I really think the car keys by the bed at night are another excellent deterrent. This is a new one for me.

P.S. to all burglars - my flowers are pretty but they are right off the clearance rack at Wal-Mart. Nothing better inside!
