Garrison Ebie
Hi. I'm Garrison.
At some point on or before April 12, 1986, my parents thought it would be a good idea to name me after popular NPR personality and host of Perry Home Companion, Garrison Keilor. There is no relation. Meanwhile, some 12 years later, a popular animated series appeared on the Comedy Central network featuring a flamboyantly homosexual character who speaks to a sock puppet and also happened to use the same name as me. Needless to say, life as a sixth grader did not get any easier.  Introducing myself typically brings forth a conversation about one or the other of these figures, so I thought I'd just get that out of the way in case anyone  was wondering. I went to college between the years of 2004 and 2010, eventually earning a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media Production in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kent State University where I began studies in 2007.  How's that for a mouthful? While searching for some meaning behind all that higher learnin', I have manufactured a philosophy that involves the acquisition and organization of information which is to be placed correctly into a fixed media. Many skills are necessary to accomplish this seemingly simple task, and I like to think I have become an expert in several. I can write, use any camera equipment, draw silly pictures on walls, talk about politics for hours on end, and probably cook the greasiest meal you've ever had. I currently live in Cleveland, Ohio with my beautiful girlfriend and have a job as a sushi chef where I roll overpriced morsels of rice and fish for a bunch of rich white people in the suburbs. When time and oppertunity allows it, I work as a freelance writer and videographer.
