William Stallworth was wanted in reference to assault and firearms charges that stem from a bar fight in Mentor
William Stallworth -- a fugitive wanted by Mentor Police and U.S. Marshals -- was spotted Friday in Willoughby and arrested by the Willoughby Police Department. Stallworth, 32, was wanted in reference to assault and firearms charges that stem from a bar fight in Mentor. He was noticed while trying to check in at the Days Inn and police were notified, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning in Mentor Municipal Court.

He and 11 others were arrested after they went to a Willoughby hotel, expecting to meet a 20-year-old woman, according to police
A Mentor man was among those arrested during a prostitution sting by Willoughby Police Department. On Feb. 21 and 22, the Willoughby Police Department conducted an operation targeting the customers of prostitution. Detectives placed an ad on a website frequently used by prostitutes. The ad offered adult services for a special rate of $100 for a half hour. Twelve men responded to the ad and were arrested without incident after they entered a motel room expecting to meet a 20-year-old female, Willoughby Police said. The men were all charged with soliciting and criminal tools. Both charges are misdemeanors. All posted a $404 bond and have a court date set for the morning of March 7 in the Willoughby Municipal Court. Future operations of this …

Randall McCauley of Mentor was charged with misdemeanor counts of vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle without reasonable control earlier this week in Willoughby Municipal Court. The incident that led to McCauley's charges happened on November 15 in Willoughby. McCauley, 62, was driving in the Willo Plaza Shopping Center parking lot when he hit 91-year-old Bertha Adams with his van as she was walking across the lot with a walker, Willoughby Police told The News-Herald. Adams was taken to the Lake West Medical Center where she later died. Police do not think drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, according to The News-Herald. McCauley's first court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 20.

Drago Glavas was doing electrical work at a Willoughby manufacturer when the accident occurred
A Mentor man died after falling from a forklift Monday in Willoughby. Drago Glavas was at Coit Tool Co., working as an independent contractor, when he fell. Gravas, 47, was working on an electrical conduit that was about 16 feet away from the floor, according to Willoughby Police Lt. Tom Trem. He had been lifted off the ground by a forklift and was balanced on a pallet that had a rail, Trem said. Gravas had only been off the ground for about a minute when he and the pallet fell. He struck his head on a metal work bench when he hit the ground, Trem said. Both Mentor and Willoughby Police Departments are looking to identify the woman in the photos above. Detectives want to talk to her in regard to a fraud case, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page. The woman has been seen driving a White Ford Flex. Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of this woman is asked to call the Mentor Detective Bureau at 440-974-5763 or the Willoughby Detective Bureau at 440-953-4210.

Let's call it a case of the Mondays. An Eastlake man is accused of running a red light, separately crashing into both a car and his workplace, fleeing both crashes and threatening a police officer with a wrench Monday morning, Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers said. He may also have trashed a gas station in Willoughby by smashing eight full coffee pots on the floor and ripping the top off of an ATM there. At about 6:45 a.m., Mentor Police received a call about someone driving a black Mercury Villager erratically on Mentor Avenue. The minivan had crashed into another car and driven away, Powers said.
