Vokurka understands that some people may be skeptical about what he and his crew do. And, to the nay-sayers, he extends this invitation: "I encourage them to come on an investigation with us and let what happens be the proof," he said. Spirit hunters and skeptics alike have a chance to join Vokurka and the MOPRS on a series of ghost tours and paranormal investigations in some of Mentor's most historical locations. Big Changes Coming For 'It's Better In Mentor' Festival

The carnival rides and late September date are out; city looks to replace them with emphasis on neighborhoods, local businesses and community building

It will be in a slightly different location, shorter, held in the summer as opposed to early fall and, most importantly, it will have a different focus. However, it soon grew to embrace all things beachy -- kite flying, boating, beach volleyball, sand sculptures, and, of course, food. The city wants people to enjoy all the assets the beach and lake have to offer so they intend to bring out the canoes, kayaks, paddleboats -- and weather permitting -- sail boats, Martin said. Spirit …
