President Barack Obama won Ohio, and the presidency, according to NBC News and the Associated Press.

President Barack Obama has won Ohio and reclaimed the presidency of the United States. Obama narrowly won the popular vote over Republican challenger Mitt Romney, and claimed enough Electoral College votes to win a second term in the White House. And in the heated and expensive race for one of Ohio's U.S. Senate seats, Sen. Sherrod Brown has defeated GOP challenger Josh Mandel to reclaim his U.S. Senate seat, according to projections from NBC News and the Associated Press. FINAL RESULTS: Mentor Election 2012

Here are the unofficial results from the 2012 Mentor/Lake County elections

Editor's note: This story was updated at 9:20 a.m. Election Day 2012 has concluded, and as a result, Mentor residents have a new Lake County Commissioner in Judy Moran. The Democrat won her race against David M. Fiebig, 51.2 percent to 48.8 percent. Commissioner Robert E. Aufuldish beat Republican challenger John R. Hamercheck 52.58 percent to 47.42 for another seat. The Lake Metorparks lost its bid for a renewal levy by just 22 votes. It would have produced $5.5 million per year for 10 years. According to the Lake County Board of Elections, nearly 73 percent of the county's 153,878 registered voters showed up on Tuesday.
