Mentor Basketball State Semifinal Tickets on Sale Tuesday

Tickets will only be available during select times at the high school

You won't be able to click your mouse to get tickets to see the Mentor boy's basketball team compete in the state semifinals in Columbus this week. Tickets will be sold from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday in the gym lobby at Mentor High School. The Division I semifinal will be played at 5:15 p.m. Friday at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University. The Cardinals will take on Columbus Northland. View matchup details here. Advance tickets sold at school will cost $8, Mentor athletics secretary Sandy Lutz said. According to OHSAA, Terrace-level tickets can also be purchased at the gate for $12, while entry- and club-level tickets will cost $15. OHSAA also makes tickets available on Ticketmaster, though …

Superstorm Sandy has left an ominous mark on the community and politicians have flittered in and out of town in the great racket that is the final days of election season. But Saturday night, Mentor senior quarterback Mitch Trubisky gave the city a temporary reprieve from all storms, both natural and political, and made his statement in a season that has a rhythm all its own and means about as much to the city’s residents – the high school football postseason. It's been nearly two months since the Mentor Cardinals lost a game. Head coach Steve Trivisonno says that won't happen again if his team approaches offense, defense and special teams in an aggressive manner. Mentor will host a playoff game at 7 p.m. Saturday night against the Warren G. Harding Raiders in a No. 4 vs. No. 5 matuchup of the OHSAA Division I regional tournament. It's unclear who Mentor would face if the team advances. The No. 1-No. 8 matchup was originally between St. Edward and Mayfield, but a court decision could land Cleveland Heights in the No. 8 spot. Tickets on Sale for Mentor's Playoff Game

Find out how and where to get tickets for the matchup against Warren G. Harding

Cardinals fans can buy pre-sale tickets for Mentor's playoff matchup with Warren G. Harding High School today and tomorrow at Mentor High School. All pre-sale tickets for the home playoff game are $7. They are available today until 3 p.m. and again from 5 to 7 p.m. On Friday, tickets are available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets will cost $9 at the gate. According to the Mentor Football Redline Club, there will be no passes, senior citizen discounts or reserve seating. Ranked No. 4 in the OHSAA Division I regional tournament, the Cardinals finished the season at 9-1 after beating Twinsburg 41-0. No. 5 Warren Harding is also 9-1.
