The four wrestlers will compete in the tournaments for Divisions I and II, beginning Thursday
Four wrestlers from the two high schools in Mentor will participate in the Ohio State Divisions I and II Wrestling Tournaments. According to the OHSAA pairings, Lake Catholic High School will send these three wrestlers to the Division II tournament: Mentor High School senior Colin Kramer will wrestle in the 113 lbs. weight class of the Division I tournament. The tournament begins Thursday morning at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the Columbus campus of The Ohio State University. The three-day event will wrap up after the first-place matches at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Click here for the full event schedule.

Editor's note: Mentor Wrestling parent Marcy Talkington Henry submitted the following recap from the Sectional Wrestling tournament in Willoughby. The Mentor High Wrestling Team competed in the Sectional Wresting Tournament at Willoughby South High School this past Friday and Saturday. The top four placers at this tournament will move on to compete at the District Tournament that has been named “The Mentor Meat-Grinder”, as it is one of the toughest tournaments in the state. This year Mentor placed 3rd as a team at the Sectionals and put through to Districts 11 wrestlers. Congratulations to Mentor’s Sectional Champion Colin Kramer (113).
