A Mentor-on-the-Lake man was sentenced to 21 years and 10 months in prison Monday in the U.S. Northern Ohio District Court. Kevin Davis, 47, had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and another charge of distributing it on the Internet. Judge Christopher Boyko also Davis -- should he ever be released from prison -- will spend another five years under supervision after he gets out. Davis was already a registered sex offender before this latest conviction. Davis was arrested in May when agents from the Postal Inspector's Office, with the help of the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department, raided his home. A Mentor-on-the-Lake man, who is already registered as a sexual predator, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and another charge of distributing it on the Internet. Kevin A. Davis, 47, will be sentenced by Federal Judge Christopher Boyko on March 22. Davis was arrested in May when agents from the Postal Inspector's Office, with the help of the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department, raided his home and confiscated a laptop computer, DVDs and several color photos of nearly nude prepubescent boys. Kevin A. Davis is already a registered sexual predator in Lake County
A Mentor-on-the-Lake man, who is already registered as a sexual predator, is accused of distributing child pornography on the Internet. Kevin A. Davis, 46, was arrested Friday morning when agents from the Postal Inspector's Office, with the help of the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department, raided his home on Salida Drive. Davis has been detained by authorities and will have a detention hearing next week, according to the U.S Attorney's Office in Northern Ohio. He faces one count of distributing child pornography. When authorities raided his house, they confiscated a laptop computer, DVDs and several color photos of nearly nude prepubescent boys, according to the complaint filed against him.
