A woman who has been arrested on drugs and prostitution-related charges twice this year by Mentor Police was sentenced Wednesday morning in Mentor Municipal Court. Jamie Gammel, 33, of Mentor, was first arrested by police in August at a Mentor hotel after she advertised her services on backpage.com. Officers went to her room at Studio 6 and found a make-shift massage parlor with a table, oils and sex toys, police said. She subsequently pleaded guilty to charges of prostitution, drug possession (specifically, suboxone) and possession of criminal tools -- all misdemeanors. The Mentor woman who was convicted of prostitution in August was back in Mentor Municipal Court Monday and being arraigned on similar charges. Jamie Gammel, 33, was arrested during an undercover operation Friday. Gammel had been advertising her services on a web site, backpages.com. Consequently, an undercover officer arranged to meet her at Studio 6 motel where she offered to perform a sexual act for money, police said. Gammel was arrested and charged with solicitation, possession of drug paraphernalia and of criminal tools. Judge John Trebets set her bond at $15,000, which has not been posted. Jamie Gammel -- a Mentor woman who was convicted of prostitution in August -- has been arrested again on similar charges, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page. On Friday night, Gammel came to Studio 6 and offered a sexual act for money to an undercover Mentor Police officer. She had been advertising her services on a web site, backpage.com. Gammel, 33, was arrested and charged with solicitation, drug paraphernalia and possession of criminal tools. The police department thanked Studio 6 for their cooperation in the investigation. Jamie Gammel -- the Mentor woman accused of prostituting herself out of a local motel -- pleaded guilty to a trio of charges Thursday in Mentor Municipal Court. Gammel admitted to prostitution, drug possession (specifically, suboxone) and possession of criminal tools -- all misdemeanors. Judge John Trebets did not sentence her Thursday. Instead, he ordered he go through mental-health and drug-abuse screenings first. Gammel's sentencing date has not been scheduled yet. As part of her plea, authorities also confiscated $241, a laptop, cell phone and massage table from Gammel. Mentor Police arrested a women from a motel in the city and charged her with prositution after she advertised her services online, according to the department's Facebook page. Officers received an anonymous call Friday morning saying that room 120 at Studio 6 had a lot of men coming in and out. Police then found a page on backpage.com where a Jamie Gammel, 33, of Mentor was offering massage services with a discount if clients came between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., police said.
