Photo Gallery: Holiday Lighting Ceremony at Mentor Rose Garden

More than a hundred people gathered for Santa Claus and the annual holiday lighting celebration Friday at the Commemorative Rose Garden

The city of Mentor kicked off the holiday season with its annual lighting ceremony Friday evening at the Commemorative Rose Garden. The choirs from Mentor United Methodist Church, as well as the kids at the lighting, sang Christmas carols while awaiting Santa's arrival. Once the jolly one arrived, he made sure to get every child's Christmas wish. After the event, the more than 100 who gathered could go to St. Mary of the Assumption across the street for refreshments. The holiday lighting -- an annual tradition in the city -- is organized by the Mentor Beautification Committee.
