Flu Shots Still Available from Health District
Flu season has begun, but it's not too late to get a flu shot from the Lake County General Health District
Flu season has struck Lake County. Outbreaks of the flu or flu-like illnesses are confirmed in at least half of the state's regions. Those confirmed cases include people who were hospitalized last week in Lake County, said Kathy Durchik, the nursing director for the Lake County General Health District. Durchik said that it is not too late to get a flu shot. Children can get a flu shot for $5 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Mentor Civic Ice Arena, during its monthly kids' immunization clinic. Adult flu shots are available for $22.00 every Friday at the health district's headquarters, 33 Mill Street in Painesville.
