Lake Catholic greets the latest class of Cougars with a choreographed routine to 'Don't Stop Believin''
Lake Catholic High School welcomed its incoming freshman class with a mass, pep rally and picnic Sunday. The festivities peaked with a surprise choreographed performance to "Don't Stop Believin'" by the upperclassmen during the pep rally. However, the flash mob flickered a couple times before it caught fire. Senior Class Vice President Hannah Skrbis provided the prologue for the performance when she told the new freshmen, "While high school is a blast, there will be some bumps in the road. The best thing you can do is make the best of it and keep moving forward." She then added, "Don't stop believin'." The rock band came to the Mentor Mall as part of the Simon dTour music concert
We the Kings, the pop-punk band who gave the world Check Yes Juliet, performed a free concert Sunday afternoon at Great Lakes Mall. They were the headliners for the Simon dTour mall concert tour. Fans who bought one of the bands' albums from FYE were able to meet the band afterward and get their CD autographed. Before We the Kings performed, teens competed in Glee Karaoke with their favorite songs from Glee. The competitors got T-shirts and the karaoke winner got free Glee DVDs. The singing was just one part of the dTour experience. Sears offered guests free makeovers and other businesses in and near the mall, including Stagez, Aeropostale, American Eagle and Hot Topic, will gave away prizes to patrons. The pop-punk band will play at the Mentor mall as part of Simon dTour Live
We the Kings will headline a free concert this Sunday at Great Lakes Mall as part of the eighth annual Simon dTour Live concert tour. We the Kings – the power-punk bank behind Check Yes Juliet and We'll Be A Dream – will take the stage at 3:30 p.m. in the Macy's concourse. Fans who buy one of We the Kings' albums from FYE that day will get a wristband so they can meet the band after its performance. The concert is just one part of the dTour experience. Glee fans can sing their favorite songs from the show in the "Glee Karaoke" booth, as well as compete in Glee trivia and win prizes.
