Sex Offender Convicted Of Trying To Peer Into Children's Bedroom

Erik Wisch was caught trying to peak into a window of the Heatherstone Condos in Mentor

A registered sex offender was convicted of trying to peak into the window of two children in Mentor. Erik Wisch, 31, of Painesville, pleaded no contest to charges of attempted voyeurism and marijuana possession and was found guilty Tuesday in Mentor Municipal Court. Mentor detectives noticed Wisch peering into an apartment window at Heatherstone Condos on December 17. He got into his car but police pulled him over. He was sweaty and his zipper was down, police said. The window he was looking into belonged to two children under the age of five. Wisch was not sentenced Tuesday. 1. Let's start with something pleasant. It is, after all, almost Christmas. Lake Catholic held its 22nd annual Holiday Fair in which the Cougars entertained the students of Broadmoor School. The students from both schools played games together, made crafts and enjoyed some holiday sweets. It made for some pretty adorable pictures. 2. The former Borders bookstore in Mentor has been empty since April 2011 but it will not be unoccupied for much longer. HomeGoods, a home furnishings store, is moving into the 22,000-square-foot space in the Creekside Common Shopping Plaza near the border of Mentor and Painesville Township. Police: Sex Offender Caught Peering In Children's Apartment Window

A Painesville man is accused of peeking into the bedroom of two children

Mentor Police arrested a man who is accused of peeking into the bedroom of two children, according to the Mentor Police Department Facebook page. Mentor detectives noticed Erik Wisch, 31, of Painesville, peering into an apartment window at Heatherstone Condos Monday evening. He got into his car but police pulled him over. He was sweaty and his zipper was down, police said. The window he was looking into belonged to two children under the age of five. Wisch was charged with attempted voyeurism, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless operation of a vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt.
