Mentor Says 'Yes' Even If Mama Says 'No'

Popular 'Everything You've Always Wanted To Do But Your Mother Wouldn't Let You' program returns tomorrow and there's still time to sign up

Ever wanted to have a whipped cream fight? Roll in the mud? A squirt gun duel? Ever just wanted to get dirty for no good reason at all? Well, kids will never have a better opportunity to fulfill these fantasies and more during the city of Mentor's annual "Everything You've Always Wanted To Do But Your Mother Wouldn't Let You" program. Etiquette will be out the window Tuesday at Eleanor B. Garfield Park. Children won't need hands to eat pudding or an excuse to get messy. After games involving Jell-O, syrup, marshmallows, whipped cream and more, kids will get a snack and an hour to play in Garfield Pool. Of course, they'll have to shower before they jump in the pool. Kids celebrated Christmas in July with the help of some festive lifeguards Monday

The city of Mentor celebrated Christmas in July this Monday at Eleanor B. Garfield Park pool. Kids played games, which were led by festively dressed lifeguards. Santa also made a surprise appearance. He threw the kids candy and T-shirts from the roof of the pool house.
