Mentor City Council Approves Grant For New Business

DMI Manufacturing, a business that wants to move to Mentor, will bring 10 full-time jobs to the city

Mentor City Council unanimously voted for a $10,000 grant that will go to a business that wants to move to the city during its meeting Tuesday at City Hall. DMI Manufacturing -- a business that manufactures, supplies and distributes parts that are used by the restaurant industry nationally and internationally -- is housed in Willoughby right now. However, it wants to buy and move into an unoccupied building at 7177 Industrial Park Boulevard. "They've come here with the intent of expanding and we're going to help them do that," Mentor City Manager Kenneth Filipiak said. The move, as well as updates and repairs to the Mentor property, will cost more than $450,000. Consequently, Council voted on a 1-time grant of $10,000 to reimburse DMI …

Mentor City Council To Vote On Grant For New Business Tonight

DMI Manufacturing, a business that wants to move to Mentor, could receive a $10,000 grant from the city to relocate.

Mentor City Council will meet 7 p.m. tonight at City Hall and they are scheduled to vote on a grant for a business that wants to move to Mentor. DMI Manufacturing -- a business that manufactures, supplies and distributes parts that are used by the restaurant industry nationally and internationally -- is housed in Willoughby right now. However, it wants to buy and move into an unoccupied building at 7177 Industrial Park Boulevard. The move, as well as updates and repairs to the property, will cost more than $450,000, according to the legislation provided to City Council members.
