Famous Broadway star Ciarán Sheehan performed in Mentor last Saturday to raise money for the United Way of Lake County. Sheehan is best known for his turns as the Phantom and Phantom of the Opera and Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. He was joined by his frequent costar, Sarah Pfisterer, as well as the Murphy Irish Dancers. After their performance at the Mentor Fine Arts Center, some lucky audience members were able to meet Sheehan and even have his CD autographed for them during the VIP meet-and-greet. The proceeds for the event benefit programs that focus on children and families, senior citizens, health and human services and basic needs in Lake County. Famous Broadway Stars Coming To Mentor This Saturday

The stars of "The Phantom of the Opera" will perform in Mentor to raise money for the local chapter of the United Way of Lake County

A pair of renowned theater entertainers are coming to Mentor to help raise money for the United Way of Lake County. They will perform July 14 at Mentor Fine Arts Center for an event dubbed "Broadway & Beyond." Among the night's performers is Ciarán Sheehan, who has starred in the role of the Phantom in more than 1,000 performances of "The Phantom of the Opera." Sheehan, who was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, has also performed in "Les Miserables," sold out four performances at the world-famous Carnegie Hall, appeared in three PBS specials and has a strong Cleveland area following for his frequent performances with the Cleveland Orchestra.
