The nominations are: People can vote on our poll until 5 p.m. Friday and the winner will be announced Saturday. Good samaritans are hosting a pair of events to raise money for the families of the five children who were shot Feb. 27 at Chardon High School. An all-you-can-eat spaghetti and pizza dinner will be held April 30 at Stadium Grill. Tickets cost $12 for adults and $6 for kids. All of the proceeds will go directly to the five families, according to organizer Patty Zolcak. The event will also have a DJ, as well as 50/50 and Chinese raffles. To donate money or raffle items or purchase tickets, you can call 440-567-5767 or 540-760-7310. Meanwhile, another fundraiser will be held March 25 at the Cabana's Island Restaurant in Chardon, 12719 Mayfield Road. It is hosted by the restaurant and the Chardon High class of 2007.
