Trio Arrested After Being Caught With Stolen Jewelry, BB Guns

The items were stolen during a burglary in Madison Township, police said

A trio of people are in Mentor Jail on a charge of receiving stolen property after police found missing jewelry, coins and BB guns in a car that two of them were using March 27. Mentor Police stopped the car because somebody using the same vehicle had stolen gas both in Mentor and Madison Township, Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers said. When police approached the car, they saw the jewelry, coins and other things the officers found suspicious so they confiscated them. Christina Baldwin, 33, and Ashley Walden, 20, were in the car at the time of the search.
