Cash Mob Founder Talking At Lakeland Today

Andrew Samtoy -- the founder of the Cash Mob -- is giving a free lunchtime lecture from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today in room T-129 at Lakeland Community College. Samtoy will share how the Cash Mob movement began, what local businesses have benefitted from the cause (including those in Cleveland Heights and Lakewood) and how the public can get involved. The Cash Mob is a spin off of Flash Mobs, which is when people would break out into spontaneous activities for surprise and entertainment purposes at a pre-determined location. By comparison, Cash Mobs are when people gather at a local small business to support them.
