Alliance Solutions officials thought it made little sense for Lake County job seekers to continue driving to its Independence office for opportunities closer to their residences. The five-time Weatherhead 100 winner opened a satellite office in Mentor in October. Manager Kim Boyer said the recruiting agency got off to a fast start here, finding 80 workers for an undisclosed firm in the city. "(Those looking for work) can come here and interview, it's 10, 15 minutes from their location," Boyer said. "They don't have to drive an hour or 45 minutes. You're not spending the day doing it."
