<p>Mentor's Police Department, Municipal Court and jail are housed in the city hall complex on Civic Center Boulevard.</p>
<p>The Mentor Police Department is headed by Daniel Chief Llewellyn. It has detective, patrol and juvenile bureaus. In addition to its duties as keepers of the peace, the police department strives to interact with the people of Mentor through its community programs.</p> <p>The Mentor Municipal Court is overseen by Judge John Trebets. He presides over misdemeanor criminal cases and minor civil suits. There are also mental health and drug courts to help those who suffer from developmental disabilities and addiction, respectively. </p>
