Bernie Kosar Arrested by Solon Police for Drunken Driving
Bernie Kosar, beloved former Cleveland Browns quarterback, was arrested for drunken driving in Solon on Sunday morning, Sept. 29.Kosar was pulled over around 2:45 a.m. heading east on US 422 when he was pulled over, according to Solon Police.
Officers could smell alcohol coming from inside the car and had Kosar perform a field sobriety test. He was arrested for drunken driving and later posted a $500 bond.
He is due in at Bedford Municipal Court on Oct. 1.
Strongsville Schools Release Substitutes Who Worked During Teachers Strike
Substitute teachers who took over classrooms for two months this spring during a teachers strike won't be allowed to work in the Strongsville district this year.
Teachers who signed up to keep subbing in Strongsville schools for the 2013-14 year received a letter this week telling them they will no longer be considered for fill-in jobs.
"We felt it would be in the best interests of our district moving forward to not use substitutes who were here during the strike," Assistant Superintendent Cameron Ryba said.

U.S. Rep. David Joyce Tours Euclid Fish Co. in Mentor
Before heading back to Washington, U.S. Rep. David Joyce stopped in Mentor to tour a storied small, family business.
Joyce, R-OH, spent about an hour walking around Euclid Fish Co.and learning all about the processes and traditions of the business founded by John Camella in 1944 in Euclid. Now operated by third-generation owner John C. Young, the company came to Mentor in 1977. It employs 44 people and also has a building in Pittsburgh.
North Canton Company Executives Indicted for Campaign Contributions
Two North Canton company executives face federal charges for conspiring to violate campaign finance laws and obstruct justice.
A federal indictment unsealed Wednesday names Benjamin Suarez, 72, of Canton, and Michael Giorgio, 61, of Cuyahoga Falls, after both helped funnel nearly $200,000 in conduit contributions to campaigns in the 2012 election, according to Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, and Stephen D.
