$4.7 Million Project Will Upgrade All Traffic Signals in Strongsville

A citywide project will upgrade every traffic signal in Strongsville, Mayor Tom Perciak said.

Perciak said Strongsville has received a $3,437,280 grant from the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for the project.

A 51-year-old man was taken by Metro Life Flight to MetroHealth Systems Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by a car at the intersection of Walker and Lear roads.

John Rowan, of Avon Lake, was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a 17-year-old Avon Lake girl driving a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer at 2:29 p.m. on Oct. 9.
