Photo Gallery: Selman Carnival Returns To Deepwood

Selman & Company throws fifth annual carnival for Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood clients

The yard outside of  was transformed into a midway Friday morning by the employees of Selman & Company.

Clients of the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities could win stuffed animals by playing ring-toss, putt-putt, frisbee-throw and many other carnival games.

They could also shoot hopes, enjoy the band, eat popcorn and drink slushies.

There was even a dunk tank where clients could douse Bruce Hillburn, who works for Deepwood's recreation department.

The Selman employees organize and host the carnival each year. Patty McGuire, the Selman employee who first suggested the event, said she wanted to have a volunteer event for Deepwood because she has a nephew with autism.
