National Weather Service: More Snow on the Way

National Weather Service warns of up to another foot of snow and high winds today

The National Weather Service is warning that most of the state could see another 6 to 10 inches of snow today.

It has issued a winter storm warning that will stay in effect until 4 p.m. today.

The snow began overnight, the result of a low-pressure system coming into the area.

Its expected to snow heaviest from 5 to 10 this morning with it falling as quickly as two inches an hour.

By this afternoon as much as a foot of snow is expected to fall in the area.

While snowfall will taper in the afternoon, its expected to be replaced with wind between 15 to 25 mph.

Both the snow and wind will likely make the streets messy, and the National Weather Service recommends staying off the road if possible.
