Mentor Chamber Looking For Citizen/Business Of Year Nominees

Nominees will be recognized in May

The Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its citizen, business and business leader of the year.

The committee is looking for candidates that go above and beyond what is required in the areas of accomplishments and civic involvement, according to the nomination form.

Guidelines for Distinguished Business:

  • Business must be a member in good standing of the Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce
  • The award is open to any size business
  • Business should substantially contribute in the areas of time, talents and resources to improve the quality of life for the Mentor area.

Guidelines for Distinguished Business Leader/CEO:

  • Nominee can be private business owner, managers or entrepreneurial government entities
  • Demonstrates successful business leadership; shows record of advanced or expanded a business during the year
  • A record of personal civic and community involvement
  • Innovation in workplace
  • “Corporate Citizen” in promoting the overall interests of the community and quality of life

  • The nominee should be a person who looks at what they can do for others and their community to make a positive impact
  • The nominee should be a leader capable of getting others involved and have demonstrated extensive and diverse participation, leadership and support in public and/or private civic endeavors over a period of years.
