Mentor Looking for CityFest Volunteers

The city needs volunteers for concerts, ticket booths, beer & wine garden and more.

Mentor has the entertainment, vendors and grounds set for next month's CityFest, but is still looking for volunteers.

The city hopes to attract about 30,000 people to the event slated for 4 to 11 p.m. Friday Aug. 23 and noon to 11 p.m. the following day. According to announcement from recreation coordinator Nick Standering, the needs volunteer:

  • festival greeters
  • set-up and takedown crews
  • concert ushers
  • beer and wine garden assistants
Volunteers are also needed for the ticket booth, hospitality and children's activity areas.

"By volunteering, you’ll get to see what it is like to experience this spectacular event from the inside out," the announcement reads. "You’ll work directly with city staff to help create a memorable and enjoyable experience for our festival guests and you’ll be directly involved in the community."

The event takes place on the grounds of Civic Center Park, though concerts will take place throughout the weekend at the Civic Center Amphitheater and Jerome T. Osborne Stadium.

Volunteer applications are available on the the city's website. Additional event and parking information is also available on the site.
