CityFest Begins Friday: 5 Things to Know

The week of Mentor CityFest is upon us, with the big event beginning at 4 p.m. Friday at Civic Center Park.

It continues until 11 p.m. that night, and from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday. The City of Mentor has posted lots of information about the event on its website dedicated to CityFest.

Here are five things to know for this weekend:

• With performances, indoor laser tag, putt-putt, inflatables and more going on, you'll want to know where activities are located. Here's a map displaying where these activities will take place, along with restroom and ATM locations.

• Though you might get hungry just by looking at it, check out this list of vendors who will sell pizza, hot dogs, ice cream and more at CityFest. It includes locals like Nick's Gyros and East Coast Custard.

• The second day of CityFest begins with a one-mile parade featuring area organizations and businesses. It begins at Veterans Park and will travel south along Hopkins Road to Center Street and pass by the grandstand on Civic Center Boulevard.

• This event boasts a wide-ranging schedule of events that includes family trivia, a Beatles cover band and a circus performance. Find the complete schedule here.
