Mentor kids showed off their skills on the baseball field Thursday at Civic Center Park
The City of Mentor Recreation Department hosted its annual competition Thursday at the Civic Center ballfields next to .
Kids from ages 7 to 14 competed to see who could pitch the most accurately, run bases the quickest and hit the farthest.
Local winners will advance to sectionals and team competitions. If they continue to win, they can compete in the finals at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
