Mentor, Lake Catholic Girls Basketball Teams Both District Champions
Both teams will advance to the regional tournament
Both the and girls basketball teams won their district finals Saturday and will advance to the regional tournament.
Mentor leaned on the hot hands of Lauren Stefancin who scored 28 points while hitting a school record eight 3-pointers in their 61-49 win over Glenville.
Christine Dawson added nine points and Taylor Garbiso and Nicole Link both scored seven for the Cardinals.

Stefancin also hit a pair of key 3-pointers in their earlier this week.
Meanwhile, Lake Catholic topped Geneva 56-36. The Cougars had a consistent game, outscoring their opponent in every quarter.

Katlyn Spahar lead all Lake Catholic scorers with 17. Kelsey Lancon and Erin Mog both scored 12, as well.
