Mentor Football Dominates Euclid, 36-0

Eddie Daugherty and Conner Krizancic each scored two touchdowns.

Mentor's football team got back in the 'win' column Friday night with a dominating effort over the Euclid Panthers, winning 36-0.

Junior running back Eddie Daugherty rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns, including a 40-yard run early in the first quarter. Senior quarterback Conner Krizancic added a touchdown run and a scoring pass to Corey Plavcan in the third quarter.

“We were much tougher tonight, and this is still a very good Euclid team that is going to win their fair share of games,” coach Steve Trivisonno told OhioVarsity.com. “We came out and dominated right from the start and that was good to see.”

Though he was pleased with the road victory, Daughtery said it won't erase the memory of last week's loss to St. Ignatius.

“That taste is always going to be there," the running back said. "We just hope to see St. Ignatius again this year in the playoffs."

Mentor's season continues next Friday at Twinsburg.
