Lake Catholic's John Stepec Earns All-State Honors
Junior defensive lineman leads a group of Cougars receiving recognition
junior defensive lineman John Stepec was named to the first team of the 2011 Associated Press Division III All-Ohio high school football team.
Stepec, who had 80 tackles and a team-high 12 sacks, also recently won the Division III for the AP Northeast Lakes All-District football team.
Stepec led a group of seven players who were recognized on the team. Senior linebacker earned second team defensive honors and senior offensive lineman Bill Sowers earned third team recognition.

Seniors Steven Freiberg and Ryan Fyffe and juniors Evan Grosel and Justin Kravchuck received nods in the special mention category.
