Here are the guys the coach expects to make an impact.
Do the 2013 Mentor Cardinals look like a team capable of reaching and surpassing last year's deep run?
Coach Steve Trivisonno believes so, provided the team stays disciplined and healthy.
"It's gonna come down to how hard they choose to play," the coach said. "The team has the ability, now it's gonna come down to does it have the drive."
The short list of players Trivisonno believes will make an impact includes some predictable but necessary names. Here they are:
- Brandon Fritts, senior, wide receiver
- Conner Krizancic, senior, quarterback
- Kent Berger, senior, defensive end
- Delvon Maddox, senior, defensive end
- Eddie Daugherty, junior, running back
