Both Mentor High's Girls Volleyball & Soccer Teams Fall In Regional Playoffs

Both 's district title teams -- and -- fell in the regional playoffs Wednesday evening.

The soccer team lost 6-1 in a regional semifinal with Strongsville, according to The News-Herald.

The Cardinals have not had a regional semifinal victory since 2002. This was their first regional appearance since 2007.

Meanwhile, the volleyball team lost in three consecutive games -- 25-11, 25-16 and 25-13 -- to Walsh Jesuit during the state qualifier, according to the Plain Dealer.
