Lake Elementary Students Welcome Mentor Baskeball Team Before Semifinals

Players, cheerleaders and band members visited with students throughout the district before heading to the state semifinal

The pace hastens when 14 visits and a trip to Columbus are involved.

The Mentor High School boys basketball brisked through each building of the district Thursday morning to visit cheering students before departing to the state's capital for a semifinal matchup with Columbus Northland.

The morning of "hoopla," as the district referred to it, began with a pep rally at the high school, followed by the building tours. The players, cheerleaders and band members were split into two bus groups and visited the elementary and middle schools to get clapped in and out by their young, eager fans.
