Watch: Lake Catholic Seniors Pass the Torch

Seniors bid Lake Catholic High School farewell and juniors take the torch during ceremony Wednesday

The seniors of handed the reins to the juniors during the annual torch-passing ceremony Wednesday morning.

The seniors, on their final school day, also gave the juniors a series symbolic gifts to help them survive their senior year.

These gifts included sticky notes, tape, binders filled with spirit rally ideas, more tape, Red Robin gift cards and tape. (The new seniors would need a lot of tape to make sure their signs stuck to the school walls, outgoing Senior Vice President Hannah Skrbis warned.)

The ceremony ended with each class accepting their new roles: the freshmen became sophomores and leaders of unity; the sophomores, juniors and leaders of community; the juniors, seniors and leaders of Lake Catholic; and, finally, the seniors became alumni and the new leaders of society.
