Watch: Lake Catholic Class Of 2012 Graduates

The graduating seniors bid farewell to their school and classmates

The seniors bid farewell to their school and classmates during their graduation ceremony Thursday evening.

The class of 2012 earned more than $11 million in scholarships and they are headed to 48 different colleges.

Before they leave, however, keynote speaker Cheryl O'Brien offered some suggestions:

  • Do not fall under the misconception that you are the smartest person in the room.
  • Also, don't fall under the misconception that your opinions don't have value
  • Be kind to your parents. They pay your tuition.
  • Be funny. If you can't be funny, be with funny people.
  • Do not be afraid to purge yourself of toxic relationships. They are a guaranteed forundation for unhappiness.
  • Never put anything on Facebook you wouldn't want your grandma to see.
