Senior Class Vice President Hannah Skrbis provided the prologue for the performance when she told the new freshmen, "While high school is a blast, there will be some bumps in the road. The best thing you can do is make the best of it and keep moving forward."

She then added, "Don't stop believin'."

The Glee version of the Journey classic was supposed to pipe through the sound system next; but the wrong song played, instead.

In fact, it took three times for the song to come on.

Fortunately, Skrbis took her "bump in the road" in stride.

"Just keep swimming whenever you feel down," she said after a second failed attempt to get the music to start. "And I'm feeling pretty down right now," she joked.

When the song did come on, waves of upperclassmen ran onto the gym floor and danced. By the song's end, seemingly every upperclassman was dancing on the floor, as well as the school's mascot.

The freshmen thanked their new Cougar classmates with cheering and applause.
