Students To Be Celebrated At Tonight's Mentor School Board Meeting

The Mentor Schools Board of Education will congratulate athletes, academics and more at its meeting tonight

An wide range of students -- including a trio of Science Olympiad teams, the career-tech welding program and Ohio's Mr. Basketball,  will be recognized at the Mentor Schools Board of Education meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday in the A lecture room at .

The students who will be recognized include:

  • the Mentor High, Memorial and Shore Middle School Science Olympiad teams, .
  • career-tech welding program students, who received the President's Service Award.
  • Justin Fritts -- who in addition to leading the Mentor Cardinals basketball team to the Div. 1 regional tournament -- , an honor that no Mentor High student has previously received.
  • the students who graduated from the program.

The entire district will also be recognized at the meeting by the Lake County Safety Council.
