Lake Catholic hosts Holiday Fair for Broadmoor kids

School Gymansium will be transformed into a Holiday Wonderland with elves and Santa

Student elves will be greeting 130 Broadmoor school students to the 21st annual Holiday Fair at Friday.

The school's gymnasium will be transformed into a "holiday wonderland." Lake Catholic junior and seniors will provide assistance to Broadmoor students with games, crafts and other fun activities. Santa Claus also is expected to make an appearance.

"For more than 20 years, Lake Catholic High School has hosted this holiday event," said Beth Falkner-Brown, director of public relations and volunteer services for the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood. "It has become an awe-inspiring tradition that gives an opportunity for the students from both schools to share in the magic of the holiday while building special bonds. All of the students look forward to this celebration each year."
