School District Hopes to Ease Transition for Headlands Elementary Families

The school district has scheduled a series of events to help ease the transition for families of Headlands Elementary students who will be going to a different elementary school next year

The students will go to either or depending on which street they live. Additionally, some Sterling Morton students will attend Orchard Hollow next year because of the shift.

Mentor Schools has announced a series of events intended to help the transition for families of Headlands Elementary students who will be going to a different elementary school next year.

For Headlands students who will go to Orchard Hollow next year:

  • Their families are invited to have coffee with Orchard Hollow Principal Karen Trunk 7 p.m. tonight at the school and see the facilities.
  • On March 16, Orchard Hollow will have an open house, complete with an art show and book fair. Headlands families are invited and encouraged to use the event as an opportunity to tour the school.

For Headlands students who will go to Sterling Morton next year:

  • Headlands students and their families may come to the PTA bingo game from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Sterling Morton.
  • Headlands parents are also invited to Sterling Morton's PTA meetings at 7 p.m. March 16 and April 20.
  • Finally, Headlands students are welcome to play at Sterling Morton's field day May 27.
