Photo Gallery: Mentor Students' Artwork On Display At Gallery One

All of the artwork in the Cold Nose Warm Art contest was inspired by a rescue dog

You want a holiday cocktail to warm the heart?

Take a rescue dog, some talented kids and their beautiful art. The final result: Cold Nose Warm Art, a gallery of artwork by Mentor Schools students on display at Gallery One.

The students competed in a contest in which all of the artwork was inspired by Clancy, a rescue dog who lives at the Gallery One Art Gallery.

Their art was judged by Dean Morrissey, a nationally renowned artist and illustrator. Students had a chance to meet with Morrissey Saturday and he encouraged the children to take pride in their artwork.

The student's paintings and sculptures will be displayed at Gallery One through the year and the public is invited to check it out.

In case you are wondering, Isabella Chongris and Joey Jonke won first place in the contest. William Stuart and Brianna Chuba were second and third place, respectively.
