Photo Gallery: Kicking It For Cancer At Lake Catholic

The high school hosted a kickball tournament Friday to raise money for the families of two children who are fighting cancer

hosted a kickball tournament Friday to raise money for cancer research and treatment, .

More than 300 people came out for Kick It For Cancer despite the rain. The event raised more than $20,000.

  • Sara Hudson who has T-cell lymphoma. She's also the daughter of Lake Catholic biology teacher Scott Hudson.
  • , a girl from Kirtland whose leukemia has returned for the third time. Potter is also related to several Lake Catholic staff and faculty members, including Matthew Moran, Peter Moran and John Gibbons.

Even though the tournament is over, people can still donate money to the families of both girls at the Kick It For Cancer web site.

The event had several other local sponsors in addition to Lake Catholic. They include , , , Data Basics, and Snow Brothers Appliance.
