Photo Gallery: Hopkins, Rice Students Team With Assisted Living Facilities For Service Projects

Mentor elementary students paired with residents from Salida Woods and Parker Place to help make blankets and wreaths for the holidays

Students from Rice and Hopkins Elementary Schools brought some holiday cheer to a pair of assisted living facilities in Mentor.

On Monday, fifth-grade student ambassadors from Hopkins went to Parker Place to make fleece blankets. (The school and Parker Place have partnered in the past.)

Tjhe residents and students finished several blankets they will now give to Project Linus, which means they will go to children in need.

Meanwhile, fourth grade art students from Rice walked to Salida Woods where they created wreaths to hang on the residents' doors.

What a nice project. Looked like the Seniors and students were enjoying their time together in the true spirit of the Holidays.
