Mentor Public Schools Warn Residents About Telephone Scam

Scammer's number appears on caller ID as "School Call"

Mentor Public Schools is warning residents about a scammer who is fraudulently asking for donations, claiming to represent the district or one of its booster groups.

Furthermore, the scammer's number appears on caller ID as “School Call,” according to the school district's web site.

These calls, or any others like them, are not coming from the Mentor School district or any of our booster/parent organizations.

The FBI recommends that if you’re ever unsure about a caller, you should hang up and try to contact the organization directly with any questions.
