Whiz Kids' Names: The Competitive Cheerleading Team

Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: The team ended its competitive season, only its second, by winning first place in the national Champion Cheer Central competition in Cleveland.

Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: Learn quickly on your feet. The competitive cheerleading team only formed two years ago.

However, they already qualified to compete at the Ohio Athletic Conference championship this year and finished third place.

Moreover, they closed their season with a first-place finish at the CCC national championship. That was the fourth time this season they had won first place in a competition.

Here's a list of how the cheerleaders fared at each of their competitions this season:

• Fifth place – Northeast Ohio Conference
• First place – CCC Regional
• Firstplace – Chardon High School
• First place – Americheer Ohio Championship
• Eighth place – Ohio State University
• Third place – OAC State Championship
• Seventh place – OASSA State Championship
• First place – CCC National Championship
