Lakeland Hosting 'Holden University Center Nights'

Monthly open houses will show people how to get started earning a bachelor's or graduate degree through the university center

Lakeland Community College will host Holden University Center Nights from 6 to 7 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month through August at .

The first will be March 28.

Holden University Center Nights will provide a general overview focusing on how to get started on the path to earning a bachelor's or graduate degree through the university center.

Participants will be introduced to the programs available through the Holden University Center and learn about the state-of-the-art learning environment.

At the university center, Lakeland students can transition from community college to classes that will allow them to from eight different universities in Ohio.

Lakeland will not hold a university night in April. Instead, it will host a partnership fair from noon to 3 p.m. April 29 with representatives from six of the universities with which it has partnered.

Those interested in pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree at the university center are encouraged to attend the partnership fair to speak directly with university partners. The university center opened its doors last fall and offers 13 degree programs with more expected to come.
