Lake Catholic Seniors Get Diplomas, Begin Future

Cougar pride hit the Fine Arts Center Thursday night as Lake Catholic High School's 2013 graduates accepted their diplomas.

The class of 2013 included 192 students, with nearly one quarter of them graduating as members of the National Honor Society. By President Sal Miroglotta's count, 32 of the graduates had mothers or fathers who also graduated from Lake Catholic. Six students had alumni for both parents.

Christine Blake, president and CEO of Cardinal Community Credit Union and a 1986 graduate, provided the keynote address. The Lake Catholic Concert Choir gave a performance, and the graduating class heard speeches from three of its members — Trevor Suttie, Mark Baniewicz and Kara Oster.
