Five Graduate from Broadmoor School

The graduates were recognized with a ceremony Tuesday evening

Five students – Anthony Beck, Stephanie Hidalgo, Kristina Leksan, Amber Mechling and Cody Taylor – graduated Tuesday from .

After graduating, Beck summed up the sentiments of many when he said “This is a happy but sad time."

He was happy to be moving on, but sad that he was leaving his classmates and teachers at Broadmoor.

Friends, families, teachers, and community leaders all turned out to see the 2011 graduation ceremony. Although the presentation of the diplomas was the evening's cornerstone, this was also the first time the Maggie A. Kesling Scholarship was awarded. were the proud recipients.

Superintendent Elfriede Roman, Mentor Municipal Court Judge Larry Allen, Lake County Commissioner Daniel Troy , LCBDD Deepwood Board President Gary Humble, past President Beth Falkner-Brown and Terry Masterson were just some of the individuals involved in recognizing the efforts of the graduates and their families.

After the ceremony, which included a special presentation of video memories, everyone went to the cafeteria for refreshments courtesy of the Broadmoor Family Network.
