Take Control of Arthritis & Diabetes

Learn more about the similarities between arthritis and diabetes at a free forum at the Mentor Senior Center. Speakers are Kelly Donahue, Program and Public Awareness Manager at the Arthritis Foundation and Dan Finkenthal, RN, BSN, a nurse educator with the Diabetes Partnership. Arthritis and diabetes are not directly related, but they often overlap. Recent reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that 52 percent of people with diabetes also have some form of arthritis. Learn more about RA and Type 1 diabetes and OA and Type 2 diabetes; self-management for arthritis and diabetes; and how the diseases are treated. Light refreshments.
